Manning rejects comeback talk amid Giants' Beckham workout

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning dismissed speculation about a playing comeback on X after a viral video showed one of his touchdown passes to Odell Beckham Jr. The post followed fan calls for both a Manning return and a Giants reunion with Beckham. The Giants recently worked out the 33-year-old receiver.

Manning retired after the 2019 season following 16 years with the Giants. His final three seasons saw the team go 9-26 in his starts. Beckham played five seasons in New York, appearing in 59 games with 390 catches for 5,476 yards.

Manning threw 44 touchdown passes to Beckham, more than to any other receiver. Beckham left via trade to Cleveland in 2019, where he spent two and a half seasons before release. In 2023, he caught 34 passes for 565 yards and three touchdowns with the Baltimore Ravens under coach John Harbaugh.

Harbaugh described Beckham as one of his favorite people and noted they maintain contact. The Giants have made several offseason moves, but no decision has emerged on Beckham.
