Sol Ruca faces former partner Zaria at NXT Stand & Deliver

Sol Ruca prepares for an emotional match against her former tag team partner Zaria at NXT Stand & Deliver. The bout stems from the breakup of their duo, ZaRuca, after Zaria speared Ruca before a women’s championship match against Jacy Jayne in February. Ruca discussed the personal stakes in an interview with Fox News Digital.

Ruca and Zaria teamed together for more than a year in WWE NXT, becoming regular competitors. As Ruca rose to challenge for titles, including wins in the Women’s Speed Championship and NXT Women’s North American Championship over the past year, tensions grew. Zaria cost Ruca a title opportunity with the spear on February 3, 2026, at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, igniting their feud.

Ruca described the buildup to Saturday’s match. “This match isn’t just a standard match. This is about us and our story – started off as best friends,” she said. “I mean, to be honest, I forced her to be my friend because she didn’t really want to be my friend to begin with, but yeah, it evolved and we accomplished a lot of really, really, cool things together. But somewhere along the way, jealousy got involved.”

The former fan favorite has drawn boos from crowds amid the split. “I don’t see how someone who’s just trying to keep going with their momentum can be the heel in this sort of situation,” Ruca said. She returns to the ring against Zaria at The Factory in St. Louis, Missouri, with the event starting at 7 p.m. ET on YouTube.
