Bodycam captures Woods handcuffed after pills found in crash

Martin County Sheriff's Office bodycam footage shows deputies handcuffing Tiger Woods after discovering several white pills in his pocket following a rollover crash in Florida. The incident on March 27, 2026, in Jupiter Island led to Woods' arrest on a DUI charge, despite breathalyzer tests showing triple zeros. Deputies noted signs of impairment including profuse sweating, lethargic movements, bloodshot and dilated eyes.

Woods' Genesis GV80 struck a trailer attached to another vehicle before rolling onto its driver's side; he escaped through the passenger door. Field sobriety tests captured Woods hiccupping while tracking a deputy's finger and sitting on a vehicle bumper. An arrest affidavit detailed his admission of multiple prescription medications due to seven back surgeries and over 20 leg operations, with the pills later identified as hydrocodone.

The 15-time major champion referenced looking down at his phone before the crash. This marked his second DUI arrest in a decade, following a 2017 incident in the same area where he was found asleep behind the wheel after taking prescription drugs. Woods sustained serious leg injuries in a 2021 wreck that sidelined him for the year.

Woods pleaded not guilty to DUI, property damage and refusal to submit to a test charges.
